What you would be walking into:

Currently network administration and IT management is outsourced.  The association now wants to bring IT management back in-house. The IT Manager will bring fresh ideas and improve technology efficiencies.

Summary:

Responsible for managing the IT infrastructure (hardware, software, membership database, web sites and network systems). This includes the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and services.  The IT Manager is also responsible for ensuring the security of the organization's IT systems and data.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, membership database, web sites and network systems.
  • Ensure the security and stability of the organization's technology systems.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Manage the IT budget and make recommendations for future technology investments.
  • Provide technical support to staff members and troubleshoot any IT issues.
  • Make recommendations for new technology solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Oversees the set up and operation of technology needs at Annual Conference (2500 attendees)
  • Review new systems applications; improve existing operating systems.
  • Manages the mobile application for Annual Conference.
  • Report writing for membership database.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, system and network administration
  • Skill in the implementation, database maintenance, troubleshooting, interactive websites, specialized computer programs.
  • Ability to comprehend complex functions and procedures and to be able to disseminate that knowledge in a clear and understandable format to others.
  • Ability to express oneself, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology preferred or equivalent
