The Opportunity:

Maximize operational efficiency, productivity, and customer experience in the intersection of people and technology for the # 1 group fitness company in Texas and growing market leader in the US. (5-time honoree of Inc 5000, now 14 locations nationwide)

The COO will be an agent of improvement and catalyst in all phases of business including field operations, field events, field success, customer support, and project management. By bringing measurable accountability to the different teams, the COO will transform efficiency and trainer / customer experience company-wide.

The company is a family-owned company built upon core values, with visionary founders who drive the company’s mission to positively impact the physical fitness and ultimately the lives of as many people as possible.  They seek a process-driven leader who inspires followership to make changes to better scale the operations of the company for continued growth and positive impact on trainers and consumers.

This opportunity has significant upside and will give the COO the ability to put their fingerprint on impacting lives for the better.  The COO will serve as part of the company’s executive leadership team, including its Founders/CEOs, Regional Presidents, CTO, CFO, and others.

To succeed the COO will:
  • Identify opportunities for business growth aligning with corporate strategy
  • Develop processes that create measurable efficiency gains including the reduction of, or elimination of, manual processes
  • Automate business practices and influence the urgency in technology adoption
  • Measure efficiencies and bring accountability to all phases of the business
  • Provide robust, value-adding processes and systems to the benefit the company’s trainer force and customer base, freeing trainers to focus on excellent delivery of outdoor fitness classes and driving sales
  • Work with customer service department leadership to align processes and needs, and assist with assessing the long-term reporting structure of the department
  • Lead the product management function and ensure that product design specifications are developed thoughtfully while taking all stakeholders’ concerns (internal departments, customers, trainers, financial constraints, etc.) into account
  • Continually partner with the CTO to assess the decision to “make” or “buy” technology
  • Work to plan, determine, and coordinate 3rd party technology integration efforts   
  • Accelerate adoption of change in process through staff coaching and mentoring
  • Empower staff to exceed trainer and customer expectations
  • Attract, evaluate, and retain top talent to scale for future growth
  • Adapt to market changes and economic climate quickly
  • Prioritize operational metrics to make confident decisions and attain goals

The COO will offer the focused leadership needed for the company to thrive operationally in this time of significant growth and expansion. This position will champion and protect the values and mission throughout the company.

  • Ideally, someone with some exposure or experience to field-based human services offerings involving a workforce of individuals across multiple states
  • Ideally someone with experience leading (or working very closely with) technology teams
  • Passion for delivering results impacting a company’s top line revenue and bottom line results
  • Inspiring leader with proven ability to develop the performance, management, and leadership abilities of early career managers
  • An enthusiast for fitness
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior senior level operations leadership preferred (5+ years)
